Lieke - Centre Manager & Educational Leader

Hi, I’m Lieke, and I’m originally from the Netherlands. I’ve been working in early childhood education for over 14 years, both in Europe and across Australia. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with children of all ages and backgrounds, and I bring that experience and perspective into everything I do. As a mum of two, I understand how important it is to feel that your child is safe, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. At Little Lion, we’re all about creating that warm, home-like environment where children feel confident to explore, learn, and grow. I absolutely love being part of the early childhood sector and there is nothing more rewarding than watching a child discover their voice, build friendships, and develop a love of learning through play and connection. Every day is different, and every child brings something special. I look forward to welcoming you and your little one to our beautiful community!

Not long after my little girl started at the Little Lion, I noticed a different behaviour : more relaxed, more mature, and most important, she is happy to go to daycare! She loves watering the garden they have outside and also going down the swing. It is a nice place where they can learn a lot of new things.
And by learning, the educators are doing a remarkable job with our kids. They are giving them the structure they need and teaching them to be more independent. All the staff members are lovely and they take care of your children like if they were their own kids.
When your child runs to the educators to give them cuddles … I think it says it all!
