Later in the month, we turned up the excitement with Crazy Hair Day! Educators and children got so creative styling their hair with kids’ hair gel, glitter, and wacky accessories—resulting in some truly wild and wonderful hairstyles that had everyone smiling!

July in Little Lion CBD has been absolutely ‘crazy’ and fun! The children had a wonderful time celebrating Pyjama Day, arriving in their cosiest and cutest pyjamas, ready for a relaxing day of stories and indoor fun. Children danced to their favourite songs in their pyjamas, and the room was filled with joy, music, and lots of energetic moves! Children even had a movie party with their friends, along with some yummy popcorn. One can only imagine what a blast they had!

The fun continued with Farm Safety Week, where children learned about different farm animals, their life cycles, and the importance of staying safe on farms through interactive play and exploration. We ended the month with Tree Week, sparking curiosity about nature as the children discovered the importance of trees, explored leaves, and enjoyed outdoor activities celebrating our natural environment. It’s been a wonderful month full of memorable moments and joyful learning!

LOOKING INTO AUGUST...

Looking ahead to August, we’re excited to celebrate Book Month!

From August 11th to 15th, we invite parents to visit the CBD centre and read with the children as part of our shared reading sessions.
During Book Week from 18th to 22nd, we’ll enjoy themed activities and special storytime experiences.
On Tuesday 19th August, we’ll hold a Dress-Up Day, where children are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite book characters.
We’re also planning an excursion to Green Square Library for preschoolers, which will include a special Storytime hosted by the library team—dates to be confirmed. We’re looking forward to a magical month of storytelling and imagination!
