Child Care Subsidy

CHILD CARE SUBSIDY (CCS)

What is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS)?

As a recognised childcare provider, Little Lion is registered to receive the Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy (CCS). We’re here to support you as you explore your family’s CCS entitlements and the range of enrolment options available. Our team can guide you through the process to help you maximise your subsidy, ensuring your child or children can enjoy the rich learning experiences offered by our early learning and preschool programs.

How does the CCS work?

The CCS is paid directly to childcare providers like Little Lion, who then pass the subsidy on to families as a reduction in their fees. Families are responsible for paying the difference between the total fee charged and the subsidised amount, known as the co-contribution

If you have more than one child aged 5 or under, you may be eligible for a higher Child Care Subsidy rate for one or more of your children. Please speak with our Centre Manager to find out your estimated gap fee and how this may apply to your family.

Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS)

If you’re eligible for the CCS, you may also be entitled to additional support to help with the cost of approved child care.

To receive this extra assistance, you must first be eligible for CCS and meet one of the following criteria:

  • You are an eligible grandparent receiving an income support payment

  • You are transitioning from certain income support payments to work

  • You are experiencing temporary financial hardship

  • You are caring for a child who is vulnerable or at risk of harm, abuse, or neglect
